Opening hours
Each day gets an Opens and Closes time, plus an optional second pair for a split day, like lunch 11–2 then dinner 5–9.
Leave a day blank to show it as closed. There's no separate "closed" switch.
Open past midnight? Set a closing time earlier than the opening time. 5pm to 2am is entered exactly like that, and your site will correctly say you're open at 1am.
Set your time zone first. It's at the top of the hours section and starts as UTC. Until you change it, the "Open now" badge is calculated in the wrong time zone and will be hours out.
There's also a free-text notes field for anything the grid can't say, like "Closed Dec 24–26" or "Open late on game days".
Contact details
Phone, email and address appear in your footer and on your About page.
Your phone number also shows in your navigation bar as Call to order, on every page. One tap to dial on a phone. Leave the field blank and nothing appears there.
Where you are
Three boxes, and most restaurants only need the first.
Address is a street address, for a place people come to. If that is you, fill it in and you are done.
Where to find us is for everyone else, starting with food trucks. Free text, for the answer you'd say out loud: "We move around, so check our Events page. Most Tuesdays outside Brazos Brewing, 5 till late." It shows in your footer on every page, and suits a stall in a market hall or a kitchen behind a bar just as well.
Drop a pin is your usual spot, as two numbers. Open Google Maps, press and hold on the exact place, and copy the two numbers.
The pin wins. Your footer carries one Get Directions link. With a pin set it goes to that exact spot; otherwise it searches your address. An address search drops somebody at a building, and if you're parked in a park the building isn't where you are.
The same warning applies here as on the events page: the short
maps.app.goo.gl links from Google's Share button have no
coordinates in them and won't work. Press and hold on the map instead. Use the check this pin link after you save. A missing minus sign puts you on the
far side of the world.
All three are optional and they stack. A truck that moves every week might use only the middle box and keep its dates on the events page.
Ordering and reservation links
If you take orders through DoorDash, Uber Eats or Grubhub, or reservations through OpenTable or Resy, drop the links in and they appear as buttons at the top of your menu and in your footer.
There's a general slot for each, with its own button text: your own checkout, Square, Clover, ChowNow, anything not in the list. Leave any of them blank to hide that button.
Name, logo and About
Your site name shows in the navigation bar, browser tab and QR code page. Upload a logo and it replaces that text in the navigation. SVG works and stays crisp on any screen.
The About text appears on your About page above your contact details. It's a good place for your story, or anything that doesn't fit on a menu.
The search and filter bar
On by default. It gives diners a search box plus filters for whatever dietary and allergen labels you've used. If your menu is short enough not to need it, you can turn it off under Menu Display Options.
Meta description
One or two sentences shown under your link in search results and when someone shares your site. Keep it under 160 characters; longer gets cut off.
