Your account and team

Staff logins, subscribing, when a trial ends, and taking your content with you.

Letting your staff sign in

Everyone who helps run your site should have their own login, not yours. Go to Administration → Who can sign in and add them by email. Each login is one of three kinds:

  • Staff can mark dishes sold out and hide or show them, right on the menu. Nothing else: no editing, no prices, no colors. This is the one for whoever is working the window.
  • Manager can do everything with the menu, photos, hours, contact details and the look of the site. Not billing, and not adding other people.
  • Owner can do everything, including billing, closing the account and adding other people. Only give this to someone you'd trust with the bank details.

The person you add gets an email with a link to choose their own password. You never type a password for them.

The invitation link expires after a few hours. If they miss it, they can go to your site's sign-in page, press Forgot your password? and enter the same email. It has to be your site's address, because each site only knows its own logins.

You can change someone's role or remove them from the same page. Their email can't be changed: to fix a typo, remove them and add them again. There always has to be at least one owner, so you can't remove the last one or make them a manager until there's another.

Subscribing

Your 14-day free trial starts when your site goes public. To subscribe, an owner goes to Administration → Subscribe. Payment is taken by Stripe, so your card details never pass through us.

It's $79 a month. The first 15 restaurants to subscribe pay $49 a month instead, and keep that price for as long as their subscription runs without a break.

Once you've subscribed, the same menu item says Billing. That's where you update your card, see your invoices or cancel.

When a free trial ends

In your trial's last week, a reminder appears at the top of your site when an owner is signed in. We also email you three days before the end, the day before, and on the day.

If the trial ends without a subscription, your site stops being public. Nothing is deleted: everything stays exactly as you left it, and subscribing brings it straight back. If nothing changes for 30 days after that, the site is deleted. We email you a week before and again the day before.

If a payment fails

Your site stays live. A notice appears when an owner signs in; go to Billing and update your card, and nothing else happens.

Canceling

Cancel from Billing. Your site stays up until the end of the time you've paid for, then stops being public. Nothing is deleted, and subscribing again brings it back.

A founding price ends with the subscription. If you cancel and come back later, you'll pay whatever the going rate is then.

Taking a copy of everything

Administration → Download my content gives you one file with your whole site in it: every dish and price as a spreadsheet you can open in Excel or Google Sheets, your events, all your photos, and a complete copy for anyone rebuilding your menu somewhere else. Owners and managers can download it, as often as you like.

Closing your account

An owner can ask to close the account from Administration → Close this account. You'll type your restaurant's name to confirm.

Asking doesn't delete anything. Your menu stays online, and a person handles the request by hand. We'll email you first and offer you a copy of your content. If you change your mind before then, the same page has a button to keep your account. Once the site is deleted, it can't be recovered, so download your content first.
