Draft and published
Every dish is either published or a draft. Published dishes appear on your menu; drafts don't. Use the toggle on each dish to switch between them.
Drafts are invisible — with one exception. A draft that has special days set will appear on its own on those days, then disappear again. That's how you set up a "catch of the day" once and let it surface every Friday without touching it.
Sold out
Marking a dish sold out doesn't hide it. It dims the dish and adds a Sold Out badge, so diners can see you serve it — just not tonight. If you'd rather it vanished entirely, set it back to draft instead.
Specials
A dish can have a special price on chosen days of the week. Tick "This item is a special", set the price, then pick the days. On those days it shows the reduced price with the original struck through, and appears in a Today's Specials banner at the top of your menu.
A special price with no days selected does nothing. The day checkboxes only appear after you tick "This item is a special", and they're easy to scroll past — so the form will stop you saving a special price without at least one day.
Sold-out dishes are kept out of the specials banner, on the grounds that advertising a discount on something you haven't got tends to annoy people.
Reordering
Drag dishes to reorder them within a section. For the sections themselves, use Administration → Menu Order. The order you set is the order diners see.
